Antelao Glacier

Custom Search

Antelao Glacier is a rare example of a glacier today in Dolomites. Glaciers are an important indicator of climate change, and they are in danger of extinction. Scientists think that in 70 or 80 years there will be more. The photos here were taken on Antelao Superiore Glacier, the mountain has another smaller glacier. Today the glacier is 900 meters long and the lower part of the glacier now stops under the quota of 2600 meters.
