Madonna di Campiglio is a resort town located between the Brenta Dolomites and the glaciers of Adamello and Presenella in Trento province. It is an elegant and sometimes even mundane Alpine town. It is located about 1550 meters above sea level. If it is true that the town lives totally around tourism, and guests can give so much, but once you exit from the town, the alpine environment dominates everything. Lakes, valleys, mountain huts and streams characterize the landscape. Like Andalo, a town not far from here, even the presence of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park takes visitors to live an experience of nature and beauty.
The country knows how to entertain in a healthy and joyful way his guests. In summer there are plenty of opportunities for everyone, adults and children. Horse riding, fishing, walks to the numerous paths and a long bike path that runs through the Val Rendena are only part of the many activities that you can play in the country. To which are added the usual mountain sports: climbing and sport climbing routes. Even more tennis, paragliding and also the game of golf. Not to mention the fact that for the children are also organized activities dedicated in the huts, hotel Campiglio and educational farms.
It deserves a little deeper the golf course in Madonna di Campiglio. This field has some primates and a long history. It was the third camp built in Italy in the early years of the last century. Born from the desire to Fritz Osterreicher, the camp was ready in 1921, but only two years later he was affiliated with the Italian Golf Federation. The field design, remained virtually unchanged to this day, was built by a great golfer era: Henry Cotton. So the nine-hole course offers players a beautiful Alpine landscape, as it is the higher of Europe.
The country earns a reputation as the ski resort of prestige long ago, probably was the first in Italy to boast a winter tourism based on skiing. And today the offer is remarkable. The Ski Area, made up of various ski areas including Cinque Laghi, Pradalago, Spinale and Grostè, offers 150 kilometers of slopes with 57 lifts. And for lovers of skiing as well 40 kilometers dedicated to nordik ski. But the thing that attracts other skiers is perhaps the possibility of leaving the hotel with your skis and reach, without ever take them out, the resort of Pinzolo and Folgarida.
Some ski appointments are now well known in trentino area and beyond, such as the 3Tre, a special slalom of the Ski World Cup, which takes place in the impressive Canalone Miramonti. A descent that you can try even at night. But surely this is not enough to explain what this town knows how to offer its guests.
